New website and blog coming!

New book smell! The Createspace paperbacks of A Mer-Tale have arrived in a compact little box and I've been breathing them in with great excitement.

At the same time I've also been trying to visual my 'author brand'.

A enjoyable visit to E9 in Tauranga to speak to the wonderful website gurus about creating a new AUTHOR WEBSITE was very helpful in focusing all my ideas.

The website is on it's way and will incorporate a blog, so this blog will be put in the bottom drawer.

Goodbye blog. Nice to know you blog. It's been a long road blog. Adios blog. BlogBlogBlog. It's a funny word isn't it...

Now to work out how to merge the two blogs successfully. hmmm.

What's next?

Ahhhh, the smell of a real book. This is the final proof of A Mer-Tale, with its new glossy finish.

A big shout out to Lee Murray who directed me to Wicked Book Covers, who designed this image. They've been amazing to work with, so helpful.

Also, enormous thanks to Lee, Piper and Celine, my fellow writers in Conclave, who let me pluck the A Mer-Tale novella from our collection of science fiction and fantasy stories and begin my eventful self-publishing journey.

It's been a steep learning curve!

Have ordered some more paperback copies from Createspace and can't wait for them to arrive.

Next job: check out Wheelers.co.nz and their ePlatform - the gateway to library and school purchases.

And last but not least... on to creating an author website!

Member spotlight on SpecFic website this week... moi!

I'm the 'member spotlight' on the SpecFic website this week. Exciting! Read the interview and browse the wonderful SpecFic site while you're there.
